Short Biography

An internationally sought-after pianist, Viviana-Zarah Baudis is also known for her talent to make new audiences engage with classical music. Born in Munich in 1999, Viviana-Zarah played her first piano concert at the age of 5 and won 1st prizes at national and international competitions. At the age of 13 Viviana-Zarah was selected by Lang Lang to be among the best young artists from all over the world for his 30th birthday concert at the O2 Arena in Berlin.

Since then, Viviana-Zarah has performed nationally and internationally as a soloist and chamber musician at Konzerthaus Berlin, Philharmonie im Gasteig, Yehudi Menuhin Hall and Wigmore Hall in London, among other venues.

She made her orchestral debut with the Munich Radio Orchestra at the Cuvilliés Theater of the Munich Residence. After many years of collaboration with Igudesman & Joo, she made her debut with them and the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall in London. On 5th of December 2023 Viviana-Zarah will play her debut concert with Shostakovich’s 1st Piano Concerto in the Goldener Saal, Musikverein in Vienna.

Viviana-Zarah is a graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School in London, which she attended for 3 years as a full scholarship student. Viviana-Zarah currently studies at the OAcademy with a full scholarship with Gabriela Montero, who opens her up to many new musical impulses.

An internationally sought-after pianist, Viviana-Zarah Baudis is also known for her talent to make new audiences engage with classical music. Her performances are characterised by both passion and subtlety of interpretation. Critics and audiences alike laud her talent as a recitalist and concerto soloist. On 5th of December 2023 Viviana-Zarah will play her debut concert with Shostakovich’s 1st Piano Concerto in the Goldener Saal, Musikverein in Vienna.

Born in Munich in 1999, Viviana-Zarah started playing children’s songs on the piano at the age of 2 and soon became enthusiastic about the violin as well. She played her first piano concert at the age of 5 and won 1st prizes at national and international competitions at a young age. At the age of 13 Viviana-Zarah was selected by Lang Lang to be among the best young artists from all over the world for his 30th birthday concert at the O2 Arena in Berlin. Since then, Viviana-Zarah has performed nationally and internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. As part of Yehudi Menuhin’s 100th birthday celebrations, she performed at the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Yehudi Menuhin Hall in London, among other venues. This was followed by her solo and chamber music debut at Wigmore Hall, London. She made her orchestral debut with the Munich Radio Orchestra at the Cuvilliés Theater of the Munich Residence.

Other appearances include performances with Arabella Steinbacher at the Künstlerhaus in Munich, the Philharmonie im Gasteig, Mozarthaus and Bösendorfersaal in Vienna. After many years of collaboration with Igudesman & Joo, she made her debut with them and the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall in London. On 5th of December 2023 Viviana-Zarah will play her debut concert with Shostakovich’s 1st Piano Concerto in the Goldener Saal, Musikverein in Vienna. Viviana-Zarah is a graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School in London, which she attended for 3 years as a full scholarship student. She then began her studies with Prof. Jura Margulis at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien. Viviana-Zarah won a full scholarship at the OAcademy to study her Ar)st Diploma with Gabriela Montero, who opens her up to many new musical impulses. Regular lessons and Masterclasses with Hyung-Ki Joo, Sergei Babayan and Bernd Götzke complete her musical education.

Viviana-Zarah also wants to make a social difference with her music. She therefore initiates and organizes her own benefit events, such as „I can move“ or performs for the benefit of „Empologoma e.V.“, which supports orphaned children in Uganda. She recently also played a concert in favour of BONsurprise to support the families of children with cancer. Her heart’s desire is to introduce children to classical music and to initiate benefit concerts on an international level in the future.
